This Refund Policy & Complaints Procedure applies to all services provided by Enlightened Academics Ltd.

We are committed to delivering high-quality academic consultancy, study abroad advisory, training, and IT/data services. If you are dissatisfied, we encourage prompt communication so we can resolve the issue fairly and efficiently.

This policy complies with the Consumer Rights Act 2015, Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013, and other applicable UK laws, including those in Scotland.

2. Refund Policy

2.1 General Commitment: We strive to meet or exceed client expectations. If a service is not delivered as agreed, we will work with you to find a fair resolution.

When Refunds May Be Granted

  • Services not delivered as specified in the written agreement or invoice.
  • Cancellation by us due to unforeseen circumstances (e.g., staff unavailability, technical failure).
  • Failure to commence services after full payment without prior notice or valid justification.

When Refunds Will Not Be Provided

  • For completed services, regardless of outcome.
  • Due to client-caused delays, including submission of incorrect, incomplete, or late information.
  • Where substantial work has commenced and can be evidenced (e.g., drafts, meeting notes, emails).

Note: We do not offer refunds based on subjective dissatisfaction if the service was delivered per agreement.

3. Refund Process
  1. Submission: All refund requests must be submitted in writing to enlightenedacademicsuk@gmail.com within 14 days of the service commencement date.
  2. Acknowledgement: We will acknowledge receipt of your request within 5 working days.
  3. Review & Decision: A thorough review will be conducted. You will receive a decision within 14 working days.
  4. Processing: Approved refunds will be issued via the original payment method within 14 working days.

Please note: Bank processing times may vary depending on your financial institution.

4. Complaints Procedure

4.1 Our Commitment: We value all feedback and treat every complaint seriously, aiming for a fair and timely resolution.

  • Acknowledgement: Within 5 working days.
  • Full Response: After investigation, you will receive a detailed reply within 21 working days.

If Your Complaint Remains Unresolved

If you are not satisfied with our final response, you may:

  • Contact an approved Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR) body.
  • Seek guidance from Trading Standards Scotland.
  • Lodge a concern with the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO) if data privacy is involved.
5. Governing Law

This Refund Policy & Complaints Procedure is governed by the laws of Scotland, United Kingdom.

Any disputes arising from this policy shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Scottish courts.
