Terms of Service

These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") govern the provision of services by Enlightened Academics Ltd ("we", "us", "our") to clients ("you", "your").

By engaging our services, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not accept them, you must not use our services.

We offer the following services:

• • Academic consultancy and application support
• • Study abroad guidance and institution selection
• • Data analysis and research assistance
• • IT solutions and digital training programs
• • Professional development and career coaching

All services are tailored individually. Full details will be outlined in a service agreement or invoice.

Important: We are not a university or awarding body. All academic outcomes remain the sole responsibility of the client.

• • All fees are quoted in GBP (£) and specified on invoices.
• • Payment must be made in full before commencement of services, unless otherwise agreed in writing.
• • Payments are processed securely via third-party gateways (e.g., Stripe, PayPal); we do not store card details.
• • Fees are non-refundable once services have been delivered, except as required by law.

Late payments may result in suspension of services until cleared.

You agree to:

• • Provide accurate, complete, and timely information necessary for service delivery.
• • Not use our services for unlawful purposes, including plagiarism, academic misconduct, or visa fraud.
• • Remain responsible for meeting academic deadlines, institutional requirements, and visa regulations.

We reserve the right to decline or terminate services if inaccurate or misleading information is provided.

We act solely as consultants and facilitators in the application process. You acknowledge that:

• • Admission decisions are made exclusively by universities and colleges.
• • Visa approvals are determined by government authorities.
• • Scholarship awards depend on institutional criteria and availability.

We do not guarantee admission, visas, or funding. Any such expectations are entirely at your own risk.

To the fullest extent permitted by law:

• • We shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential losses (including loss of income or opportunity).
• • Our total liability arising from these Terms shall not exceed the fees paid by you for the specific service in question.

This limitation applies regardless of the legal theory, whether contract, tort, or otherwise.

In accordance with the UK Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013:

• • You may cancel your service within 14 days of payment, provided no work has commenced.
• • If cancelled within this period, a full refund will be issued.
• • Refunds (where applicable) will be processed within 14 working days.

Once services begin, cancellation rights are waived, and fees become non-refundable.

All materials created or provided by us (guides, templates, reports, software, content) are our exclusive intellectual property.

• • You may use these materials solely for personal educational purposes.
• • You may not reproduce, share, distribute, or sell any material without prior written permission.

Your personal submissions (e.g., CVs, statements) remain your property, but you grant us a limited license to use them to deliver our services.

These Terms are governed by the laws of Scotland, United Kingdom.

Any dispute arising from these Terms or your use of our services shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Scottish courts.
